• Re-hash of Easter Party: Victoria et al.
  • Easter Party went super well, everyone loved the food!
  • However, it would have been better if we got more mac ‘n cheese and less coleslaw.
• Thank-you note to Cami’s grandmother for the frosting
  • Cami’s grandmother has an amazing frosting recipe, which really helped us with the party.

  • We will be hosting another waffle sale on May 1st so please sign up for materials and working shifts.

  • Since we are having an Easter party at the shelter, we need to stuff eggs for the children!
• Anything at state that we want for Ludi?
  • Having board games and carnival games were great to occupy people!
  • Having courts and equipment available for pick up games.
  • Some of the workshops were great, especially Jon Runden’s.

• Update on writing to the prisoners: Magis
  • To be cordial, we would love to send the prisoners thank-you notes and ask them what’s new.
• Elections: We have 3 on the state board. How do we handle officers for next year?
  • If you are on the state board, then you can automatically be consul. However, we would have three consuls; if that is the case, then we could have trade offs and the people who want to keep their current position can.
  • What officers do we need?
    • We need sports commissioners, but we were also thinking of creating a new position for spirit.
    • For spirit, though, we could just have someone who is good at it designated to it.
  • When do we hold elections?-next week?
    • We need to hold elections soon because seniors have their last day of classes next week.
• Banquet: Do we want it one week earlier?
  • Lunch or dinner?
    • Lunch works best.
  • Run by seniors
    • Naomi, Natalie, Anna, Jack, and Sophie S can help plan.
• Plan for zoo this summer: Oakland?
  • We could go to Oakland zoo instead of the San Francisco zoo just to change it up.
  • To afford this, we would need to host another waffle sale.
    • We could do April 30th for the waffle sale.
• Officer updates
• Nationals: who is going?
  • Natalie, Maddie, Sonia, and Ava are going to Nationals.

• Thank you notes: Francisco for driving, helping with chariot, picking up the chariot and catapult and always being ready to jump in when needed; Janelle for making it so easy to get the chariot and catapult to Miramonte; Sara for chaperoning and hanging to the very end when all the other chaperones had gone; Dr. Lyell for overseeing the MS and being always ready to help; Miramonte for hosting convention; Mr. and Mrs. Altieri for keeping everything going behind the scenes at convention; Will Buxton for writing the Open Certamen program.
• Plans for Easter party next Thursday: What still needs to be done? Magis and Victoria need to meet
  • We need to get in contact with Popeyes and get the frosting for dessert decorating.
• Start pushing Nationals: Natalie
  • Nationals is in North Dakota this year from July 26-31.
  • We would love more board members and JCL members in general to attend because it is great publicity for our program.
  • Victoria, Sonja, Maddie, and Ava just announced that she will be attending convention.
  • Scholarships are available, however, airfare is not included.
  • Our program is leaving on the 25th and we have free convention housing so that we are not leaving last minute.
• Set time for Banquet
  • Magis cleared the day for Memorial Day Monday.

  • We will most likely be holding elections sometime next week.
  • However, it will be a little tough because we are hosting two parties next week.
• Sophie S: we need to do one more Lorica this year, but the new Lorica Editor will be doing the Lorica for the banquet.

  • Sophie R made a clear distinction between Latin 2 and Latin 2 Accelerated, which educated the Middle School on the pace of the classes and what might be the best move for them next year.

  • These tickets are for the state board meeting, which we are very excited about!
• Pay hotel: Morgan
  • Morgan is currently working on paying the hotel.
  • Also, he is decided that we don’t need to buy all new materials for the catapult.
  • Morgan and Henry need to start work on the catapult as soon as possible.

  • We are sending the Marriot $1900 dollars, but we still need some others to pay.
• Another waffle sale?
  • We want to host another Waffle Sale before Spring Break.
    • We could possibly do this on Thursday, March 21st.
• Scrapbook: Historians
  • The Historians are making great progress on the Scrapbook, but we need more photos for certain classes, so it looks more full.
• Another meeting for cheers?
  • We will have another meeting for cheers the week before convention.
